This website is no longer available.  I do not believe that Creation vs. Evolution is the primary issue that the church is facing, but rather, the Church's teaching of SELECTIVE obedience to God's commandments.  For Biblical teachings, go to TChapman500.com and click "The Bible" at the top of the header.

It is hypicritical at best to expect people to believe Biblical, Young-Earth Creation as taught in Genesis and at the same time expect them to believe that God's commandments no longer apply (or inconsistently apply) because "we're not under the law, but under grace."  YEC teaches people to believe Genesis but not God's commandments and are therefore an additional problem to the Church, and not the solution.

Matthew 4:4 (NIV)

Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"

Ecclesiastes 12:13 (NIV)

Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter:  Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.

Psalms 119:160 (NIV)

All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.

Proverbs 28:9 (NIV)

If anyone turns a deaf ear to my instruction, even their prayers are detestable.

Romans 2:13 (NIV)

For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous.

Matthew 5:20 (NIV)

For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

Romans 3:31 (NIV)

Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.

1st John 3:4 (KJV)

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Hebrews 10:26 (NIV)

If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left,

James 1:25 (NIV)

But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

James 2:13 (NIV)

Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom

1 John 5:2-3 (NIV)

This is how we know that we love the children of God:  by loving God and carrying out his commands. 3 In fact, this is love for God:  to keep his commands.  And his commands are not burdensome.

Ezekiel 36:27 (NIV)

And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.

Romans 6:15-16 (NIV)

What then?  Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace?  By no means!  16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?

Romans 7:7 (NIV)

What shall we say, then?  Is the law sinful?  Certainly not!  Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law.  For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, "You shall not covet."

1st Corinthians 9:21 (NIV)

To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law.
